Can you use an aluminum pot for chocolate fondue?

I have an aluminum fondue set and I want to make chocolate fondue. The instructions indicate that you should add oil or broth, but it doesn't mention cheese or chocolate. I noticed the cheese and chocolate sets have ceramic pots instead of aluminum. It seems to me that the different materials would affect the cooking. Has anyone ever tried this? Does it work? Can you use an aluminum pot for chocolate fondue?
No problem with chocolate, its acid products that are problematic in aluminum. However, as someone else said, aluminum is highly heat conductable meaning that you may have problems keeping the heat low enough to avoid burning the chocolate...Can you use an aluminum pot for chocolate fondue?
You can do it but it is a lot easier to burn the cheese or chocolate inside an aluminum pot then a ceramic pot. You are just going to be scrubbing burnt stuff off the bottom of it.Can you use an aluminum pot for chocolate fondue?
Ceramic disperses the heat better than metal and avoids hot spots. When melting chocolate in metal pans, a double boiler arrangement should be used.
