marshmallows and fudge cubes work really well, also you could just use some quite plain biscuits like rich teas or ginger nuts.
this might sound strange, but once at a sleepover we had loads of snacks out, including chocolate fondue, and everyone started dipping popcorn in, its divine! it tastes alright with sweetened popcorn, but better if you just use plain unflavoured home-popped stuff. yummy! :)
We had two chocolate fountains running at my daughter's wedding.
Banana and marshmallows were what we went through the most of. We could not keep those sections of the serving trays full.
As the night wore on...the adults were far WORSE about dipping straight fingers into the chocolate then the little kids were! Must have been something to do with the champagne... lol

well other then fruit you can dip marshmellows and this may sound weird or gross but it is good and that is cheese and bacon or you could even dip cookies if you like things really sweet
