What is the difference between making chocolate fondue with milk vs. cream?

1 recipe that i know of says to use 8/10 ounces of bittersweet chocolate with

1/2-3/4 cups of heavy cream

while another says to instead mix the chocolate with

1/2-3/4 cups of milk and 1/2 tsp of butter..

what is the difference between using milk vs cream?

what do you suggest?

thanks! What is the difference between making chocolate fondue with milk vs. cream?
Cream will have more of a richness and a sheen because of the added fat. Similar to a chocolate ganache (truffle).

Milk will be slightly thinner and have less of a sheen.

I like the cream but keep in mind you are also making the dish much more caloric with cream.

LESS FAT IN MILK. So less calories and less guilt.
