Do you think fresh oranges and chocolate fondue would taste good together?

My french class is having a chocolate fondue party just for funzies, so we have to bring things to dip. I thought I had cake mix at home so I didnt worry about buying anything, but apparently I don't really have anything to bring. We have a bunch of oranges, some apples, and a single banana. Would oranges go with it well? Because we've got lots of them.Do you think fresh oranges and chocolate fondue would taste good together?
Oranges would taste good with dark chocolate. However, it takes a lot of work to peel and section them. They will also be more likely to fall apart in the dipping process, unfortunately (unless they are fresh clementines or mandarins)

They'll do in a pinch, but you might want to bring along a spoon with a long handle so the students can put drizzle a little chocolate over their oranges rather than dipping them in the pot. (make sure its a heat resistant spoon - stainless steel or wooden rather than plastic).

Optionally, try (if you have them):

- marshmallows

- sliced bananas

- pineapple chunks (perhaps you have a can in the cupboard?)

- strawberries (fresh or whole frozen)

- even apples could work (though not a favorite)
Yes, it'd taste great!Do you think fresh oranges and chocolate fondue would taste good together?
honestly, i love the orange chocolate combo

there are these orange chocolate things made by Terry's, they are really popular at Christmas..they are so yummy

I would pre-cut the oranges so that it doesn't get too messy

But it will taste good for sure!
Apples would go better, the thing is that the oranges are too juicy and so will not allow the chocolate to stick. You need something that does not have a lot of liquid.Do you think fresh oranges and chocolate fondue would taste good together?
Yes, as would the apples %26amp; banana
Absolutely. How could you be in a French class and not know that it is wonderful?
Actually, it would probably taste very good. A little different to say the least but it would likely taste good. There is a chocolate /orange candy made by Terry's You take it out of the wrapper and whack the bottom of the candy on something hard. It splits into segments like an orange wedges and has a chocolate/orange flavor. It is very good.

Your fondue just might be a hit. With bananas, oranges or most any friut. Hey if chocolate goes with strawberries...why not other things too, right?
no.....

i prefer banana
nah,

i think that the orange is too juicy and watery, compared to the rich and creamy taste of chocolate. i'd go with the traditional strawberrys or pinapple. hope this helped ! :)
Take some oranges and some apples I think some people will like it somme people will not like the oranges with Chocolate but the apples and Chocolate will go over well

Good Luck
oranges would definitely work.

apples or bananas would work too- they do get brown though so either cut immediately before serving, or rinse in diluted lemon juice.

most kinds of fruit are great with chocolate fondue!
