What is the best chocolate fondue recipe ?I am having a chocolate fondue party. Does cheese go good with chocolate and if so what kind?
I'm sorry, but I would have to disagree with Mick. You could easily have a main course of rarebit, a cheddar cheese fondue sometimes adding a stout beer like Guinness as an ingredient, then finish off the meal with a chocolate fondue. There isn't anything quite like rarebit on toast points or toasted English muffins, and there are so many variations on rarebit, or "rabbit," out there, that one of them is a suitable suitor for a dessert of chocolate fondue. Rarebit, or "rabbit," is easy if you have a double-boiler, but I find that preparing the rarebit in a Pyrex bowl sitting on a pot of water produces the same results. I think the idea of having course after course for a dinner party simmering over a candle is a grand idea, and would even suggest the first course being a olive oil and "herbes de provence" served with baguette chunks would be a lovely entroit to the main course of rarebit. Kudos to you and your desire for adventurism!I am having a chocolate fondue party. Does cheese go good with chocolate and if so what kind?
that doesn't sound too appetizing - fondue is tradiditionally cheese, but there are dessert fondues as well - the chocolate fondue would be for dipping things like strawberries or maybe pastries. don't mix the chocolate and cheese. look into renting a "chocolate fountain."
