To prepare chocolate fondue, which chocolate shall I use? Regular bars (or blocks) and use a double boiler with added milk?
or it is better to use special fondue chocolate in a package?
Is there a significant taste advantage to using the special packaged fondue chocolate? What kind of chocolate to use for fondue?
OH MY GOD.,.....i just had the BEST fondue with plain old Cadbury chocolate .....although in saying that the Cadbury in OZ is way better than the Cadbury overseas......so depends where you writing from.
yes
use regular barsWhat kind of chocolate to use for fondue?
belgian or swiss in buttons melt fastest
dark is nice
I would use Semi-Sweet Morsels, that is what they use to make ganhosh. What kind of chocolate to use for fondue?
actually i don't think it really matter which chocolate you use.i'm not sure about the milk part, but i do know to use a double boiler to melt chocolate.i was thinking that a fondue melted the chocolate on its own...hmm?so now it a double process...you melt the chocolate and then place it in the fondue pot? then why buy the pot at all...you can melt then proceed to enjoy your chocolate, and no,there's probably no taste advantage in using the packaged fondue chocolate.it's called product placing and marketing.you buy the pot,u then need chocolate to melt in the pot;kinda the kill 2 birds with 1 stone way of looking at things.the way they sell the lighters at the counter,if u smoke u definately need a lighter.i hope u got an answer out of that...no..the chocolate you use does not effect the taste...white chocolate is great too!enjoy.
hi
even better than a make shift fondue..... you can buy chocolate fountains for 拢34.99
they melt the chocolate (regular bars) then pump it up through the fountain and it cascades over the sides...mmmmm hot melted chocolate.http://www.chocolatefountainwarehouse.co鈥?/a>
I don't know
You should use milk chocolate with a teaspoon of butter if will make the chocolate creamy and works good with strawberries.
I JUST WENT AND ATE AT A FONDUE RESTAURANT LAST WEEKEND AND i GOT THE WHITE CHOCOLATE AND IT WAS DELICIOUS I DEFINATLY REQUEST YOU USE THE WHITE CHOCOLATE. HOPE YOU ENJOY!
what do you prefer? It depends on what you are dipping as well.
First off the chocolate fountains are un reliable. (used one for a baby shower and it was a dud didn't work) If you have a Michale's craft store (in the cake decorating section)they sell chocolate buttons, that you melt down for making other candies or fondues. You can by plain or flavored they also sell flavored oils to add to it. I have used it for several things it works great! Have fun
i say to go with the white chocolate-- it adds class and is VERY tasty!

It depends on what you like. try experimenting with some different types of chocolate.
a good dark chocolate and you always add cream if it's to strong!!! or add white choc late if feeling bit adventurous
