Does anyone like either cheese or chocolate fondue?

Cheese is a great appetizer before a meal and chocolate is an incredible desert. I prefer White Chocolate vs dark chocolate with various pieces of fruit.Does anyone like either cheese or chocolate fondue?
love both.now you need to try the bourgignone!very thinly sliced-or to your liking ,very fine cut of beef in stripes, you fry in the foundue dish and then dipped in different sauces.like green pepper suace-the spice,bell pepper,wine sauce,mustard sauce....

Fondue is pretty good, just a little challenging and messy for a first time exhibition. :) I like both cheese fondue and chocolate fondue, but not together in the same pot.

I like making chocolate fondue with dark chocolate toblerones, while I like making cheese fondue with aged cheddar cheese. Mmmm!

I have a cheap fondue pot and it's easy to burn the cheese with Sterno, so be careful. I have done both and found it easier to melt the cheese or chocolate on the stove in a pan then transfer it to the fondue pot to keep it hot. If your pot has an adjustable flame, try it as low as it can go. I think electric fondue pots are probably better, but there is something cool about having fire at your table.

Also, try hot oil or broth and cooking shrimp or chunks of beef in it. That makes a good meal, too.

Whichever you decide, find a recipe. Just putting a block of cheese in the pot won't be something you will be able to dip into.Does anyone like either cheese or chocolate fondue?
