Cheese Fondue?

I just got a (very small) Fondue pot. I know for chocolate fondue you need to add cream, but what about Cheese? does anyone have a recipe for small batches of Fondue? Small being about a cup and a half. It's electric and uses two pots, so it is sure not to scorch. So how should I do the cheese? What kinds of things can you think of to dip?Cheese Fondue?

Looks like Caroline has a great recipe. I love the Swiss fondue. Along with the bread, carrots, cauliflower, celery, and apples are also great. Try different types of bread. Pumpernickel, sour dough, or whatever else you like. I know the apples dipped in cheese sounds weird, but it's amazingly good!
if you look in the grocery store in the cheese/yogurt section, they sell a swiss cheese fondue kit by Swiss Knight (i think thats the name) and to this I add in about 1/3 a cup if cubed velveeta cheese - its GREATCheese Fondue?
A classic Swiss recipe. Use flavoured breads like foccacia, olive breads or breadsticks and, for a different flavoured fondue, use other cheeses or a mix of mozzarella, dolcelatte and parmesan.

Ingredients

1 clove garlic, halved

290ml/陆 pint white wine

1 tsp lemon juice

225g/8oz emmental cheese grated

225g/8oz gruy猫re cheese grated

1 tsp cornflour

1 tbsp kirsch (optional)

cubed bread pieces, for dipping

Method

1. Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the halves of garlic.

2. Add the wine and lemon juice to the pot and heat until boiling. Lower the heat and gradually stir in the cheeses until melted, stirring all the time.

3. If using kirsch, blend with the cornflour, otherwise use water. Add to the cheese mixture and cook gently until the mixture is smooth - don't let it boil or it will burn.

4. Using the fondue prongs, dip the bread cubes into the cheese and serve.
Beer, wine, milk, etc. any liquid is really great to put with cheese. There are so many recipes on the internet, just search!

Dippers - I like bread, apples, and some carrots.

Fondue is so fun and easy, just prepare it to your taste and get creative!
