I'm turing 30 this year and want to have a party. Like a cocktail party does anyone have any fun ideas?

My colors are white black and pink. And I want a chocolate fondue fountain. and a fun drink but non alcholoic. I need ideas for decorations and party favors and games. Well I was going to tell you that you should make a theme party like the 70's or 80's and have everyone dress up as if they were in that era, My family always has theme party's and they are the best. You have a color scheme which reminds me of my 21st birthday instead my colors were Black, White and Red!! So the theme I chose was a "Black and White Affair" Have all your guest dress in black and white, those are the only colors they are allowed to wear and you wear a pink dress that way you stand out from everyone else!! I did the same except I wore a red dress!! Ok as for decorations for the "Black and White Affair" theme I had my party in a huge white tent and decorated the inside of it with christmas iceticle lights and got fish wire and hung different sizes of stars that you can buy at Party America stick with your colors black, white and pink. For table decorations you can black and white table clothes than a lil square pink cloth to put in the middle and on top of that get a clear bowl and put black and white marbels inside than fill with water and light a floating candle. If you would like you could buy goldfish or chinese fighting fish and in each bowl put a fish and that can be your party favor!! around the bowl you can put star confetti again stick with the color scheme. and tie black and white and pink ballons around the bowl as well!! Or if you want to kind of go with the theme tie like 2black and 2 white ballons and just add one pink one!! that way it stands out just like you!! Um... as for drinks I could have told you a bunch of Alcholic drinks but you want non.. so i suggest a good ol fashion Punch bowl!! You should make chocolate covered strawberry's!! with dark chocolate and get white chocolate and add pink food coloring and you can have pink chocolate covered strawberrys MMmmm... Lets see games.. Hmmm.. Don't really know of games for a 30 year old birthday again I know drinking games that's about all.. Maybe you can geta kareoke machine and have people sing!! Oh heres a game. when your guest arrive give them a name tag with a silly name on it. everyone has to refer to that person for the rest of the night by that name. If you call them by their real name than you loose and get a red dot on your name tag to show that you lost but they still have to keep it on that way other people still call them by their silly name the person at the end of the night with their name tag still on with no red mark wins a prize!! Ok now here is an extra idea I'm not sure if you'll like or not but when you mentioned Pink as part of your color scheme I thought of breast cancer awarness!! You can make your party sort of like a fundraiser and raise money for breast cancer research!! You can do a 50/50 raffle if you don't know what that is you buy raffle tickets and sell them for however much money you decide and at the end you choose a ticket and whoever has that ticket gets 50% of the amount of tickets you sold!! You can also have like a lil auction by lil things and auction them off at your party!! Or you can have people donate things to sell and at the end whatever money you consumed you can donate to a charity!! .. but like I said it's only an idea and also for a good cause. Well hope my ideas helped!! Oh and it's up to you on how many people you want to be the host of at your home!!

Sounds like it will be fun. Consider how big your place is and if someone will be truly offended if not invited when determining your numbers. a friend of mine just had a blk/wht party the year b4. she did martini glasses from the dollar store filled with those flat glass marbles they sell at the dollar store or craft stores as centerpieces. you can get pink ones at michaels or ac moore

sprinkle glitter on the tables, maybe do 3 glasses. you can raise them up by covering boxes in blk or wht wrapping ppr. tie balloons to them filled with helium.

lay out blk/wht/pink mardi gras toss beads for favors

dirt cheap on ebay or online



if you are doing a cocktail party you don't want games. they don't mix.

well as your gonna be 30 you should invite 29 guests, making up a party of 30 %26amp; if your going for the girlie stuff, i.e. choc fountain etc, why not go for the playgirl bunny theme....would be real fun and you girls would have a right laugh.....failing that go back to school days and have a chic sleep over with chic films and loads of chocolate.........have a lovely time whatever you do
You should have a theme party and have every one come dressed as spys. Because every one knows all the hottest spys are 30+. It's always fun to do a big party if you can afford it. You can do spy themed games, decor and drinks. Good luck.
i will do 15-30 people there cant be too many people or not many you should make a virgin watermelon margarita. that way it's pink. have goody bags too

1.00 tb Grenadine

1.00 tb Sugar, granulated

6.00 -Ice cubes

Play simple drinking games, play some other fun music if you don't like the grease musical.

or... your theme can be victoria secret pink, and just play simple games "like panty pass" where you pass a victoria secret bag (with clean new thongs tied with ribbons and a piece of paper of dares) and people choose whomever to pass, the person who recieves the bag must say something funny or weird about them, if they don't say something about themselves, they have to put their hand on the bag and get a thongwitha tied dare on to it and must do a dare?
