Trying to plan a retro 60's dinner party - can anyone give me ideas for menu and drinks thx?

Was thinking prawn cocktail to start %26amp; chocolate fondue (fountain) for dessert but struggling with main course and as I was born in 68 i'm struggling for inspiration. Also would like ideas for cocktails %26amp; drinks.Trying to plan a retro 60's dinner party - can anyone give me ideas for menu and drinks thx?
Not sure a chocolate fondue was a 60s thing!

Black Forest Gateau now - THAT was the thing to go with the prawn cocktail!

Main would have been something posh like steak diane or steak au poivre. Chicken thighs baked in ham or bacon with sweetcorn was another I remember being served (when I was very young of course!)

Cocktails would have been served in wide cocktail glasses - margueritas I seem to recall being popular (according to my mum anyway!)
you could fine plates that look like TV dinner containers and serve really good homemade dinner in them. Something like Roast Beef tenderloin, Greens beans with bacon crumbles and roasted red potatoes.Trying to plan a retro 60's dinner party - can anyone give me ideas for menu and drinks thx?
If it's the sixties, you will definitely need some babychams and some Campari!

Have a great time!
Psychadelic looking cocktails might be fun like Midori sour, hypnotiq mixed with whatever you want, vodka cranberries... etc. and serve them in funky style glasses with red and green marchiano cherries on toothpicks plunked in there. There's a place to buy 60s candies that you could put out in bowls.

There are some ideas on that site...

You could also do a cake with a peace sign like this one...

The Emma Peel

The Emma Peel

鈥?1 oz. cherry brandy

鈥?1 oz. pineapple juice

鈥?Mionetto Prosecco Brut (dry sparkling wine)

Mix first two ingredients into a mixing glass with ice to chill. Strain into a Prosecco glass and fill with Mionetto Prosecco Brut. Garnish with a long spiral of lemon peel.

Non-Alcoholic 鈥?Gatorade, Coca Cola and Slurpees

vegetarian chili, guacamole with chips, zucchini bread, lemon bars, carrot cake and, of course, granola.
meatloaf

mac %26amp; cheese

ham steak

pot raost
For main course, try Duck a l'orange, Coq au vin, Boeuf Bourginion. Or have a cheese fondue as the main and Black Forest gateau as the pud.

For cocktails, it has to be home-made Martini or Cinzano
