How hard is making fondue?

Please look at link below. Wondering if I buy this fondue set, how hard is it to make? Wanted to do something different this weekend w/the kids, but not too complicated. I saw recipes calling for heavy cream, oil, different alcohols, using a double broiler too. Can I just throw chocolate in this and melt it to dip stuff, or is it more complicated like recipes say? Thanks

so easy! this is one is delicious...

INGREDIENTS

1/2 of (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate

1/2 of (12 ounce) package milk chocolate

2/3 cup milk

3 teaspoons vanilla extract

Fruits or cakes, diced

DIRECTIONS

Combine chocolate, milk, and vanilla in saucepan over low heat for five minutes or until smooth.

Dip strawberries, brownies, marshmallows, bananas or pound cake into chocolate.
Fondue is very easy, but you do need to follow the recipes to keep whatever you're cooking from burning. You can't just put plain chocolate in there and let it melt. Most recipes will have you add some oil, to keep the chocolate from burning and hardening in your pot. If you are using meats to dip, too, you have to make sure your mix gets hot enough to cook the meat. It might not be something for younger kids, but it's definitely an experience you should try. Once you get the hang of it, you'll discover many ways you can cook things from a fondue pot. It's tasty and fun!How hard is making fondue?
Very easy...all fondue is...is melted cheese...you heat up two or three differnt kinds of cheese and dip breed in it..or you could use chocolate and dip fruit in it...

Easy...a fondue pot makes even easier...
it is complicated, especially cheese fondu, because things don't melt as simply and neatly as you would think. you have to add the oils and alcohol to make sure the stuff melts evenly, and doesn't burn or get clumpy. How hard is making fondue?
