Can i use the normal chocolate bar(like those cadbury block ones) and melt it to make chocolate fondues?

Or do i have to get a special type of chocolates?

If i have to, what's the difference? Can i use the normal chocolate bar(like those cadbury block ones) and melt it to make chocolate fondues?
yes, just make sure it's a solid chocolate bar (no special fluffy stuff). Use the double-boiler method (2 pots on top of each other - bottom with water for steam - top to melt candy in). Add some 1/2 and 1/2 to smooth it out or if you're a health nut, 2% milk or no fat creamer.

You might also want to experiment with vanilla extract (the pure stuff - not the artificial because the alcohol in the flavoring with distort the taste too much)

Also try some peanut butter in the chocolate or some quality liqueur (this is a better alcohol to flavor with). Maybe some Grand Marnier or Godiva Liqueur.

Nice. :) Remember to put out the marshmallows and graham crackers so people can make their own s'more-like concoction. :)
always glad to help! sounds awesome and I hope you have fun :)

heck yeah! just add a little cream to thin it and help keep it from burning. some butter is good too.
I think you can. Use a double boiler. Don't get any water in it or else it will get chunky and nasty. Can i use the normal chocolate bar(like those cadbury block ones) and melt it to make chocolate fondues?
Yes, but you will want to add some whole milk or cream (or some other liquid, some people add a liquer) to thin it out and make it more smooth.

And yes, use a double boiler and don't try to melt too fast or it will burn.
Yeah just make sure you melt it the correct way.
I think so, yes. Break it into small pieces before you start melting it and then add some cream.

Scrummy!
yes you can, as long as it's not filled with creme or nougat.
You can melt any type of chocolate down to liquid, just be sure to watch it carefully because all different chocolate will scorch at different temperatures.

You can use a double boiler but you can also do it in the microwave if you are very careful and don't leave it in too long or on too high.
yes mix some amount of milk and cream in it mix some vanilla ice cream oh!! it's so yummy aahhhhh don't forget to add sugar. if want to make more deserting fondues get cadbury deserts
