Hello
I want to do a chocolate fondue. Can I use Nutella as the chocolate?
I know Toblerone is more common, But I'm not a fan of having to melt it in another pot first,
and then risk burning it etc.
So I thought I could just empty a jar of Nutella into the fondue set, and warm it, then dip.
Is this ok you think?Nutella for Chocolate Fondue?
Nutella is perfect for "chocolate" fondue. It doesn't separate when heated, and can be used a a lower heat than can chocolate. This minimizes the possibility of burning. Test some with whatever you will be dipping. Since Nutella is a hazelnut spread, and not chocolate per se, it has a wonderful taste, but can be overwhelmed by some things, and you lose the taste of the Nutella. Marshmallows are pretty neutral for dipping, but some fruits are not.Nutella for Chocolate Fondue?
Too sweet. Nutella has only a small amount of cocoa in it. It's a processed food. If you're going to do a chocolate fondue, don't skimp on chocolate and serve up something fake.Nutella for Chocolate Fondue?
