Raspberries taste better (in my opinion) but they fall apart and are hard to dip in things (and they're out of season and super-expensive at the moment), and I imagine they'd make a mess of the chocolate. Strawberries are more practical. You could always do both, though.

strawberries, definetely, since they are a lot easier to put on fondue forks. rasberries will fall off or fall apart.
