like wtf? i did what was supposed to b done: took a pot, put water in it, waited for it to boil, put a small heat friendly bowl inside the pot of boiling water, put some chocolate chips in that. then i tried to stir it, and it was extremely thick, burnt and disgusting. what the **** did i do wrong????Why didnt my chocolate fondue work?
The bowl should be large enough that it fits on top of the pan of water. The bottom of the bowl should not touch the water at all. Sounds like your probably not only touched the water but also the sides and bottom of the pot. It would be almost impossible to burn the chocolate chips unless the bowl was in direct cotact with the bottom of the hot pan.Why didnt my chocolate fondue work?
Aren't you supposed to add one part chocolate (65% or higher) and one part heavy cream? That how I did mine. I chilled it and made little truffles out of it. It turned out better than burnt, but still very rich.
