Any suggestions for chocolate fondue are appreciated as well. I am looking for recipes that are easy and don't have long complicated ingredient lists.Best cheese fondue recipes and tips.....?
OMG! I went to the melting pot and they made this cheese fondue right in front of me and it was soooo good! This is what they put in it:

1.5 cups white wine

1.5 cups gyuer cheese

1.5 cups asiago fontina

2 tablespoons mariner sauce

2 tablespoons basil pesto

they put them in that exact order and they used a double broiler fondue put. Sorry, but I don't know how to spell gyuer, But it is close!

Good luck!

CHOCOLATE FONDUE

1 cups premium cocoa powder (Valrohna or Scharffen Berger), sifted

1 1/4 cups spring water

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1/4 cup corn syrup

1/2 cup plus 5 tablespoons heavy cream

5 ounces 62% Scharffen Berger (premium semi-sweet chocolate), chopped

Pound cake and fruit (such as bananas, apples, strawberries, and plums), cut into bite sized pieces

Sift the cocoa into mixing bowl and set aside. Place the water, sugar, and corn syrup into a pot and bring to boil. Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes until sugar solution has reduced by about 30%. Pour the cocoa powder into the solution and blend with a whisk until smooth. Return the chocolate mixture to the stove and continue cooking over medium heat. Add heavy cream, bring to boil and allow to simmer for five minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in chopped chocolate. Pour into fondue pot and keep warm.

Good Luck!
Cheese Fondue:

Rub the fondue pot with a clove of garlic, and discard

Put the pot on the stove

pour 1 cup Champagne (real champagne, from France) into the pot--this works best, though you can also use 1 cup of Burgundy chardonnay--Chablis or Macon Villages

Put salt, pepper, nutmeg in the pot, to taste

Stir in with a wooden or plastic cooking spoon:

1/2 lb. gruyere

1/2 lb. emmenthal

1/3 lb. appenzeller

When the cheese begins to melt, add corn starch to homogenize the mixture--start with a tablespoon and continue to mix--add more if necessary

Add a shot of kirsch wasser

If the fondue becomes too thick, add more wine--if its not thick enough, add more corn starch --i don't have a set amount I use.

Add some more freshly ground nutmeg on top when you're done

Cut a fresh baguette into cubes and enjoy!

Chocolate Fondue:

Use a high quality Belgian or Swiss chocolate

Begin melting it over the stove

Mix in a couple of tablespoons of heavy cream

1 shot of kirsch wasser and/or 1 shot gran marnier/cognac

Cut up some fresh fruit and pound cake and enjoy!
