You should really consider renting one even though the price seems high. The little fountains that you buy tend to clog up and are really hard to clean. The small Rival models splatter chocolate on the table cloth and your guests and the chocolate the company recommends has a wierd oily taste. Why don't you just go ahead and rent a nice large fountain and enjoy the event and have someone else be responsible for the set up and clean up? Another idea would be to buy yourself a chocolate fondue pot and have an attendant dipping strawberries on sticks into the pot of chocolate and then handing those freshly dipped strawberries to your guests. That way you'll own your own fondue pot that you can use for cheese fondue etc at another event.Which fondue fountain should I buy?
I would rent one for sure.
