I'm planning to make chocolate fondue for some friends but when, in the past, I have just used melted chocolate, the consistency has become quite grainy, can anyone suggest a good recipe or method??A good recipe for chocolate fondue?
My favorite is just simply melted chocolate. If your chocolate is grainy, you are doing something wrong. You should melt it in a double boiler (place a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water, the water should not touch the bottom of the bowl). You are just counting on the steam from the simmering water to melt your chocolate. Be very careful not to get any water in it otherwise the chocolate will seize up.
I have also used this recipe before:
Ingredients
1 (16-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup store-bought caramel sauce
1/2 cup milk (preferably not skim)
Directions
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in a large bowl set over simmering water or in the microwave for a few minutes on HIGH (stirring every minute). Stir in the caramel sauce and milk until blended and smooth.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a serving bowl.A good recipe for chocolate fondue?
If the chocolate becomes grainy, it's because it has gotten too hot or water has gotten into it. The Food Network (www.foodnetwork.com) has several chocolate fondue recipes. You can also just search for "chocolate fondue recipe" and find lots of recipes.A good recipe for chocolate fondue?
Get some chocolate and fondue it.
