I got my sister a chocolate fondue fountain for christmas, but there was no sample of chocolate with it, what?

kind of chocolate should be usedI got my sister a chocolate fondue fountain for christmas, but there was no sample of chocolate with it, what?
Yep they`re all doing this now - I work for Avon and they`ve took the chocolate out too, it`s because the chocolate has a sell by date on it the rest of the set can sit on the shelf all year. Just buy her a wopping bar of chocolate and some marshmallows to go with it!!

Any chocolate will do!
I have just bought one.....you can buy cooking chocolate from your local supermarket and melt it down first or you can use chocolate chips and melt that too for your chocolate fondue fountain.I got my sister a chocolate fondue fountain for christmas, but there was no sample of chocolate with it, what?
any kind you like..the good dark chocolate that you can buy at chocolates..i believe bakers has a good one. You can use white chocolate too. I'm sure many stores would sell what you need. But, if I were you, I would go to a speciality shop and buy chocolate from there. Tell them what it is for...

are you the best sister or what???...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..chocolateeeee鈥?/div>

I think you have to add cooking oil to it also else it wont be runny enough!I got my sister a chocolate fondue fountain for christmas, but there was no sample of chocolate with it, what?
Her favourite chocolate.
Get branded name chocolate from stores, dark choc. is good from Sainsbury's and melt same.
You can't just use any ol' chocolate. You need to use chocolate melting disks (like Wilton's, found at Michael's Craft Store) or chocolate chips (any brand). The important things to remember are 1. You have to add vegetable oil to the chocolate - read the instructions that came with the fountain for the measurements and 2. Pre-melt the chocolate in the microwave before adding to the fountain. Otherwise you'll be waiting all day for the heater in the fountain to do the job.

Some of my favorite foods for dipping: bananas, strawberries, dried fruits like apricots, oreo's, pound cake chunks, marshmallows (on a stick) and rice crispy treats!

Have fun and enjoy the new fountain!
yeah, i have one that i use at christmas and i have to add just a little cooking oil to make the chocolate flow.
Any chocolate will do, however the continental chocolate that is more greasy works best for a longer period of time. Don't bother buying the expensive brands as by law there is a minimum cocoa content anyway within Europe. British chocolate actually has a higher content of cocoa mass, but a lower fat content and so flows slower through the machine.

As well as Marsh Mallow, you can also try pieces of fruit such as Strawberry, Cherry, Banana and also jelly sweets etc on a stick.
We went to Sams Club and bought the huge can of chocolate syrup = and it worked out great!
