Chocolate Fondue Party??? Any ideas?

Having a party for my daughter.. I want it to be an ice cream party for her and her friends with two big fondue fountains.. one chocolate and one either strawberry or vanilla flavor.. I am having a hard time coming up with ideas for the fondue.. so far I have:

marshmallows

bananas, strawberries,

angel food cake

I'm new at using the fondues.. anybody experienced with fondue parties? I'd love suggestions? :D

I'll have little skewers they can use to dip in the chocolates, this will be for her 12th birthday for an outdoor pool party.. so I wanted to do something different.. mix it up with the ice cream and cake?? Please Help.. ;P Thanks :DChocolate Fondue Party??? Any ideas?
I would add to your list:

apples, peanut butter pound cake, kiwi, pretzels, oreos, vanilla wafers, cherries, and pineapple

Hope you have a great party!

Recipe for Peanut Butter Pound Cake

Yield: 1 cake

Oven: 350掳 45 minutes then 325掳 15-20 minutes

2 1/2 sticks butter

2 cups sugar

6 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup peanut butter, smooth or crunchy

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup peanuts, finely chopped (optional)

Cream butter and sugar until light yellow. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until thoroughly blended. Add vanilla extract and slowly beat in peanut butter. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, until well blended. Line a 9 or 10-inch tube pan on the bottom with wax paper. Spoon in batter and bake at 350掳 for 45 minutes; reduce heat to 325掳 and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer, until cake tests done. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool cake completely. If desired, toward the end of baking, while cake is still soft, sprinkle about 1/3 cup finely chopped peanuts onto batter to give it a crunchy topping.

For the second fondue, you might consider having a cheese fondue. With that you could couple a variety of crackers, pretzels, and veggies (like broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots).
use pretzels as skewers too for that sweet and salty combo!!!Chocolate Fondue Party??? Any ideas?
Aw that sounds so fun!

When I have been to parties with fonue fountains, there has been:

pretzels, marshmallows, different flavored cheesecake bites, fruits (strawberries, apples, bananas, berries), graham crackers, oreos, angel food cake, and creme puffs.

Hope it all goes well!
Cream puffs would be good, also cut up blondies, lady fingers, grapes, blueberries, caramel chews, and donut holes.Chocolate Fondue Party??? Any ideas?
pretsals, crackers, and for some reason i love salty foods with pure chocklate idk sounds like a sweet paarty
here are some things i have seen with chocolate fondue that were fun

%26gt;rice krispies (make your own or break store bought ones in

to small peices)

%26gt;pretzel sticks (the big thick ones that you wont need a

skewers)

%26gt;grahm crackers (then can even be made into smores with the

marshmallows)

%26gt;a bowl of sprinkels(that way then can dip anything they just

dipped in the chocolate into it)

%26gt;chuncks of brownies( as if thats not chocolate enough)

%26gt;cookies (you dont need a skewer and try diffrent types of

cookies)

as for tips in general

-if you have disposable skewers i would recomend those because they don't need cleaning

-if your not planning on useinf disposable ones then make sure to tell them that and it is a good idea for there to be a way to label them (with tape or something) so they don't get mixed up

-wax/parchment paper will be your friend! if you covere the area around the table with it for an easy clean up

-you can also cut it up into little squares that they can use to hole the skewers

-wet wipes are also good for an easy way to clean hands so they wont be running to the bath room every time the need clean hands (and also they would get chocolate all over)

-littel platets or napkens to hold under the things they just dipped in fordue so it wont drip on them

-you can also use the fondue to put on top of the ice cream

thats all i can think of right now but i hope i helped and i hope you party goes well!
Um yea I havn't had experience with fondues but

I say go for the fondues

Sounds great lol

Um and I would add a buffet of food and deserts

thats all I would have

But if you want more then just add whatever your daughter likes to it

Hope this helped...
We use all the below for our chocolate fondues.

any cubed fruit - put lemon juice on apples and bananas so they don't brown

dried apricots

pound cake

any sweet breads

gingerbread

pretzels

hazelnut or almond biscotti

shortbread fingers

ruffled potato chips - salty and sweet - yum

crusty french bread

have fun with it!
