How can we make Chocolate Fondue without cream?

We have a fondue kit, but when we looked online, the only recipes we found could be made with heavy or light cream, which we don't have at the moment. We've never made Chocolate Fondue before, so we don't know what would be OK to do to melt the chocolate and what wouldn't.

Here's what we have available for our use (or what we think is relevant, if there's something else you would tell us to use that isn't on this list, go ahead):

Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bars

Evaporated Milk

Corn Syrup

Vegetable Oil (Not Canola Oil)

1% milk

I have made white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate fondue several times and I've never made it without cream. I would recommend that if you want to do fondue, you should do it right and go to the grocery store and buy cream. It is not expensive. You can try this recipe, but I don't know how good it is.

12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

1/4 c. butter

1/3 c. milk

1/4 c. light corn syrup

1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate and butter in top of double boiler. Stir in milk, corn syrup and vanilla; stir until smooth. At serving time, heat in small fondue pot over low flame.
